I am currently an assistant teaching professor in the Math Department at CU Boulder. I received my PhD in 2019 from University of Cincinnati, under the supervision of Nageswari Shanmugalingam. My graduate research dealt with quasiconformal maps on metric spaces and characterizing these maps by how they act on surfaces.
I am very passionate about teaching and incorporating active learning in the classroom. I have experience with designing and updating active learning materials and with techniques like the flipped classroom modality. I am also currently serving as the chair elect for the SIGMAA on Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL). If you're interested in IBL, we have a contributed paper session at MathFest 2024 this August, as well as a remote speaker series every fall and spring.
